capture video from SDHC card

I have just been given a Panasonic camera HDC SD200 for my 60th and it has a memory card only. I previously used Roxio Creator 8 with a miniDV camera and Roxio converted the HD to SD for me. I went to the capture screen, but there is no recognition of the card reader. Can Roxio 9 do this, if not, will Roxio 10 have the facility.

I dumped the extra posts from this, http://forums.support.roxio.com/index.php?showtopic=58669, earlier tonight.

Then pinned it in > Roxio Community > Easy Media Creator Products > Creator 2010 > Installation/Uninstallation/Update..

There is nothing in the bin newer than yesterday, although I just dumped it there tonight...

Who is the Keeper of the Gate that deleted the extra from the original post I dumped into the bin?

In my old USB connected IOMEGA Burner I received a message like this after burning a disk:
"One or more files did not verify correctly with the original source file. Burn a new disk".
I therefore have scrapped the IOMEGA gear and bought a new USB connected SAMSUNG burner (SE-S084C) - but I still receive this message after burning a disk: "One or more files did not verify correctly with the original source file. Burn a new disk".

When I burn a disk by WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER i receive no malfunction message.

I have a PRIMARY BURNER (TSST TS-H552D) in my HP Pavillion PC (with Windows XP Home SP3) and this burner works without malfunction messages.

Looking forward to receive comments/possible solution.

Can't Burn on MyDVD9

I finish my dvd project on MyDvd & I save it. I put a new dvd disc in but the burn button is still gray. I try different new discs but the button is still not available. I go to file & click burn to DVD but I get a message that says no valid recordable device is detected.

Security software companies should hire these kids?

Three alleged members of the hacker gang Kryogeniks were hit with a federal conspiracy charge Thursday for a 2008 stunt that replaced Comcast's homepage with a shout-out to other hackers.

Prosecutors identified Christopher Allen Lewis, 19, and James Robert Black Jr., 20, as the hackers "EBK" and "Defiant" -- known for hijacking Comcast's domain name in May of last year.

The prank took down the cable giant's homepage and Web mail service for more than five hours and allegedly cost the company over $128,000.

Latitude E6500 Does not see my burner

This has happened several times to me. I've deleted the filters in regedit and it worked for a while and the other day it just quit again. Windows media player can see it but Roxio seems to have problem. HELP

Copying DVD-R to DVD-R Problems!

Hi..This is my first posting here and I hope you all can help.

I have Roxio Easy Creator Premier 9 that was installed on the Dell XPS 720 I purchased. I recently Burned (5) DVD-R Discs on my Toshiba VCR/DVD Recorder and wanted to make copies of them on my computer using the Roxio "Copy Disc" application. The first part "Insert Disc to be copied" seems to work fine. The disc is read then is ejected from Drive "E" which is my DVD Burn Drive. When the message "Insert a Blank or Rewritable CD into Drive "E" appears I insert a new Blank DVD-R Disc into Drive "E". After I do this the drive closes but then just keeps opening the drive and the same message to "Insert a Blank or Rewritable CD into Drive "E" keeps repeating. I cannot copy these disks for some reason.

What do you think the problem might be and can anyone offer some possible remedies for this problem?

OK... It appears that important Registry entries had not been made for some odd reason.

I am not convinced .NET 3.5 (BTW, it is now 3.5.1) is the culprit, nor can that be easily uninstalled, as the library is used by many other applications as well.

This what I suggest: ( it is just a hunch, so crossing fingers might be an essential part! )

Login with username that has Administrator privileges.
Uninstall the Roxio application (if possible)
Go to the TMP folder to ensure it is accessible: enter "%TMP%" in the Windows Explorer address line.
Copy the contents of the DVDs to harddrive (to avoid that perhaps a bad spot might prevent the successful installation, and the installer did not realize it could not read the necessary part from the DVD; the COPY would fail, however.)
Run Setup � right mouse-click, and select "Run as Administrator"!

Let us know how that'll work.

Google - really a 'search' engine?

Since starting my new web site, I have been looking into how to submit my site to search engines. Has anyone here even looked at the 'requirements' for Google? They have a long list of what a site MUST have or they simply will not even consider listing the site. How can they call themselves a search engine? It's clear there are millions of sites that can't or don't adhere to their 'standards'. Which means anyone using their service really aren't 'searching' the entire web. Then on top of that, they have 'rankings' which means if your site doesn't get many hits , it could end up waaaaay on the bottom of their list making the listing a mute point.

I submitted my site info to Yahoo and it showed up in Yahoo Search the next day and it was within the first 20 matches. Seeing how Google really doesn't do a REAL search match, I'll not be using it any more at all. Google has gotten too commercial.

Sound Editor time grid Problem

I have encountered a strange problem with the time grid (vertical bars) in the sound editor. When I zoom it so that the grid displays details of each second, the last 1/4 of each second is missing! The grid times will be (for example) 1:09.72, 1:09.73, 1:09.74, 1:10.00 ....

Where did the last quarter second go? This is a real problem when I am trying to select short portions of the clip - the time span selected will be 2.74 or 3.00 - nothing in between. So how long did I select? 2.74? 3.00? something else? I am quite sure this is happening at all zoom levels, it's just not noticible.

A reply to a help ticket I sent to the technical group indicated the bug was with the software engineering group, but of course they didn't say how long it had been there...

Has anyone ever seen this behaviour before, and is there a fix? I am copying my LP's to CD's, and since 1 revolution of a LP is 1.8 seconds, you can see the problems I have trying to select 1.8 seconds to delete.

A suggestions will be much appreciated.

P.S. - is there a way to attach a .jpg screen shot to these postings? I am new here and cannot see a way to do it.

Open the Home application. Then on the menu bar, select Tools->Prefererences and uncheck the option box that says "Display relevant product information and offers from Roxio".

Printing Disc Label

When I print a disc label using a picture as background, the label comes out almost completely black. If I choose one of the "styles" included with the program as a background, it prints fine.

I have successfully used pictures as backgrounds for disc labels in the past. What am I doing wrong now?

Easy CD and DVD Burning (in Red Box): Vista & Windows 7 Compatible

When trying to install this newly pruchased software, at about 90% through the installaion an error message appears stating: You must install Roxio Easy Media Creator 10 before installing the content. Then what was installed is "rolled back". The next error message states Roxio EC and DVD Burning Wizard was interrupted...try again --- and each succesive try fails likewise. What is the problem? OS = Vista Home Prem; 500 GB HD with lots of room and 8 GB Ram in a new computer.

I currently have Easy CD Creator 5
Running windows XP

During the install of AVG update i am getting this message.

Installer has detected that there is an outdated version of the program Roxio Easy CD & DVD
Creator, which contains a bug that (among others) can cause problems with AVG 9.0.

We recommend you to update this software prior to installation of AVG 9.0. An update package is
available on the Roxio web page.

I could not fine any updates for 5, so wondering if there even is one, or i need to get an all together newer version.

Burning MP3 CD's

I am trying to use Creator 6 to burn CD's from MP3 files that I have purchased from Amazon, Napster, etc. I thought that with MP3 that I would be able to get many more songs on a CD than possible with standard format. So far I have only been able to get 15 to 16 songs on a CD or about as many as on a standard purchased CD. Any suggestions or help will be appreciated

I too have the same problem of not being able to burn a dvd. Same external drive, same Roxio software. I did not experience a installation problem as described above but "encoding" locks up at 20% every time.

Unable to copy data to DVD

I am trying to copy/burn jpg files on my HD to a DVD+R RW. I put the DVD in the drive and open Creator Classic, select the file, click on the Disc Size drop down and select DVD 4.7 GB and then select Burn. I am asked to insert a disk, but the disc is already in the drive. Apparently my Sony DVD ROM 52x/32x/52x/16x drive does not see the disc. I have no problem in reading DVDs from this drive but I have never tried to burn a DVD. I can burn CDs. What am I doing wrong.

The OCZ Colossus SSD drives are available in 128GB, 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB units and come with three year warrantees and dedicated technical support.

One site shows a price of $3,572 for the top end 1TB drive, which sounds about right. �

We went to Adirondack Regional first and refueled, both airplane and us! Then I took off out of there and flew the Orange dashed line over to the Lake Placid airport. The mountains are a maximum of 3,759 and went though a cut at 3,000 slowed to 65 Kts so the other fellow could open the window and take pictures of the moss on the granite as I scrapped by . Then descended and landed the Lake Placid airport:

Weather was fabulous � Severe Clear, winds at the surface were 5-6 knots and we went to 8,500 looking for a tailwind but only found 11 knots which petered out to 4 knots� It was like that for the whole 315 miles.
