Triptych, how do I Options

I'm a relative newbie but I have seen photos that are called "triptych" where aphoto is divided in 3 sections but they all appear and print in one photo. Can a triptych be created in Roxio 7.5 and if so, how do I?

Thanks Patty. I did that and learned a new trick.

However, I guess I want to do the exact opposite of what the stitch does. Stitch uses shy 3 pictures and stitches them all togehter to make 1 picgture. I would like to do is take only 1 picture and break it up into 3 sections so it looks as if it was created from 3 different shots. I have seen examples of this and hope I am explaining it correctly. I wish I knew how to attach/import a copy of the photo I saw on the internet with an example. Maybe this will work. Try this internet address

I reailze this photographer created this image by using props but somewhere on another website I saw a photo that was of a tree that was photographed through the normal method of merely snapping a photo. Then the person somehow altered it and made it appear as if it had been broken into 3 parts. Gee, I wish I knew the proper terminology to explain myself.

My guess would be that they saved 3 copies of the original photo. Then they 'cropped' each photo to about 1/3 the original size..... obviously cropping 3 different sections of the photo.

At the bottom of the 'crop' screen the original dimensions photo and the size of the cropped image is shown so that you can keep them the same size for 'stitching' together later on.

You can also add special effects, change the overall quality, etc. and end up with three very different variations of the sections of the original picture.

Does that sound like something similar to what you've seen?

I'll try that. There were no special effects or variations on any of the sections but that is a great idea! If and when I master this technique I will defintely play with special effects.

I followed mlpasley's suggestion and it does allow for the creation of the type of photo I was looking for. It was a little difficult - maybe not for others but it was difficult for me - (but that's one of the reasons it is special) since I'm a newbie and one needs a keen eye and a steady hand. But I was able to save the 3 copies and work with them as if they were 3. And then I used the neat "stitch"feature which I never knew existed until now. Now I can practice cropping and stitching and begin getting creativ with special effects, etc. Thanks to all.

It did work but it was a bit tedious for me. Probably because I am new to all of this. It would be nice to find an easier way to accomplish this but at least there "is" a way. thanks!
