I just downloaded the trial version. I'm trying to burn a dvd of a home video. When I select the video (saved on my hard disk), Roxio won't play it and all I see is a black screen where the video should be. I either get an error code with 80040207, or it tells me I may not have Direct X 9, which I do. I have windows xp with SP2 and all the latest updates.
Error message help

what is your graphics card and how much memory has it?
Also, did you go to MS and download and install the latest DirectX 9.0c (April release) - the one with XP is never included in MS Updates

If it ain't broke, fiddle with it until it breaks, then fiddle with it until you get it fixed

Go through Start/All Programs....... instead of using the Roxio icon on your desktop. It works for me. The software doesn't like high end NVidia video cards.
