Roxio for Blackberry, Runtime error avoid download music, movie, pictures Options

I just purchased a Blackberry Curve smart phone 5 days ago.
I downloaded its Desktop Manager to synchronize it.
It is through this manager that we can download music, pictures, and movies to Curve.
When you open the manager there is an icon named Media Manager, which is suppose to make this connection with the device.
Once clicked, I see the Roxio splash : Roxio for Blackberry / Media Manager.
Immediately after clicked, I can see an error block saying :

I have been with Blackberry support representative for more than 2 hours, having paid about USD 49.00 and inspite of his extremely good willing, he could not solve the problem.
As a result, I cannot download to device any movie, picture, or music.
Any assistance for someone who understands what is going on ?

All support for Blackberry's (Roxio OEM) comes from them.

You may get lucky and another fellow user that has the same OEM will come on here, in the meantime, get on to Blackberry for help.The original poster has not received any responses since Aug4/07.

I had the same problem and here is what I had to do to solve it:

In versions up to, and including, version 4.2 SP1 of the Blackberry Desktop Manager, RIM was using their own media manager. Beginning with version 4.2 SP2 of the Blackberry Desktop Manager, RIM began using Roxio Media Manager. This is where the problem began. The particular error that is showing up actually shows up in a number of Roxio applications – poor programming I suspect. Interestingly, the error only shows up if you have upgraded your browser to IE version 7 and/or your Windows Media player to version 10 or above. In any case, the solution is to uninstall the Blackberry Desktop Manager and then install version 4.2 SP1 (or earlier) of the Blackberry Desktop Manager. Perhaps someday Roxio might get their act together. I was able to download previous versions of the Blackberry Desktop Manager from this URL: http://www.wireless.att.com/bbdownloads.
