I was stuck with a spurious drive and couldn't get rid of it at all.
I tried searching the web for a solution but no-one seemed to know how. (Microsoft were not a lot of help)
I tried disabling the drive through Device manager - Uninstalling it the same way - Deleting references in the Registry - Running RoxioZap. All to no avail.
Anyway - Here is how I eventually did it, just in case anyone is still wondering.
Start your computer in Safe Mode (At the boot up press F8 and use Safe Mode at the top of the options list.)
Wait for it to load etc... It can take a while.
Log on as Administrator.
Go to Start>Control Panel>System and select Hardware Tab.
Select Device Manager
Go down to SCSi & RAID controllers and Uninstall the Roxio Entry.
(You could go to DVD/CD Rom drives and check if it has gone and if not, do it from there)
Click OK
Reboot your computer.
(Again this takes a while but if it seems to hang at this point just pull the plug and when it reboots it will just run a disk check and repair the logfile it was writing and carry on as normal)
Hope all this helps.

Did you try under EMC 9 tools, Disc Image Loader, highlight the drive in the Emulated Drive List, click the red x remove?
