Just hooking onto this thread. After having tried the trial version off the web, I bought the real product (Easy CD & DVD) on CD-ROM. Each time I install it, I cannot get it to open more than 30 days at a time, then it goes back to the "Trial Version Expired". I have tried every suggestion on the support site, and have performed the clean uninstalls and installs. Nothing seems to work. This software is virtually useless to me, and apparently, only because i actually tried the trial version before I bought the real thing. Hugely frustrated.

Did you click on the link in Brendon's post? And, the retail version of the software is Easy Media Creator 9. Is that what yours says on the box?

Benn, I know this ship has sailed but, in the future, my suggestion will save you a lot of frustration. If you buy a program such as Symantec Ghost, and save full images of you boot system in an acceptable state, you could try software and fall back to a system state with no trace of the trail software. I have a 20GB boot image in various states from 1) just the OS, 2) OS and office applications, 3) OS, office applications and media applications. It takes about five minutes to restore. I even have a completely separate system that I load once a year to do my taxes. It may seem like a lot of trouble but once you get started doing it regularly you'll be surprised at how much time it saves. Nothing you want to keep should ever be left on the Desktop for very long. You can move the Documents folder and all your media to another partition or physical disk. Your media such as personal photos and video should be backed up to another offline hard disk or other media.

Benn,
I think they have saved their version 10 repairer over the top of the version 9 one. Their motto must be "Never Look Back"
The version 9 repairer is 232,184 bytes, the version 10 is 231,920.
If you have the wrong one, please send me a PM by clicking on my name at the left of this post, and tell me what's up. Give me an email address and I'll send you the version 9 one.

Brendon
