Hello,

After installing Roxio Creater 2009 (according to TIVO homepage for burning shows on DVDs), I couldn't figure out which part under Video that's the right one to burn the shows that can be played on the DVD player.  I did burned some shows and when I put it on the player, it won't/can't find it.  I tried again, burning under a different program but still the same results.

Is Creator 2009 the correct program to use and if so, under Video, which one do I use?

BTW, on the TIVO page with instructions on how to burn shows on DVDs, it seems to be outdated or incorrect because I couldn't find the main creator manager to open to lauch the video from the left side with the click on ‘Video’ > ‘Convert Video.’ Roxio’s “Video Copy & Convert” application will launch.

I checked the Start list under Roxio and it only shows all different mini programs, not the main manager of all in one.

Thanks in advance!

What program do you have? You just posted saying you have "Trial Version", now you say you have 2009???

In any program, click on Help – About and tell us what version number is listed…

Yes, I'm using the Trial Version and I checked the properties - it says version 9 (??).

My error about the 2009.

Thanks.

Under Start – All Progarms – Roxio~~~ you should see the Home program. That is the one that brings up the interface TiVo was referring to.

Hi Jim,

I followed your instructions but after clicking "Roxio Easy Media Creator", instead of home program, it expanded to folders ranging from Audio to Video.  When I clicked the Video folder, it opened up to some mini programs - "CineMagic", "Media Import", "MyDVD" and "VideoWAVE".  Which one is the correct program to use for burning TIVO shows on DVDs that can be played on DVD player (any DVD player)?

Thanks in advance!

1. Launch EMC 9
2. Click on the Video pane on the left hand side
3. Locate and click "Convert Video" in the right hand side of Video window.

Thanks for the reply, however, I still hve a problem - the launching icon.  Here's the image I've taken a screenshot of what I was talking about - all folders, no launching icon or main application icon of EMC9 itself below (even the the name itself was also a folder, not main application to open up):

I hope this helps to clarify what the problem was.

Thanks again.

It would appear that this is not part of the Trial Version. I am still confused as to where you could even get the 30 day Trial Version as it was taken off the website a long time ago???

Still, whatever version you have, what you need is not present and nothing is going to change that. V9 in any form is 3 versions behind and out of production.

Hi Jim,

Sorry for not answering your question which I forgot.  I googled and found it on one website (I forgot the name).  I think it was CNET or other downloading company.

Is there another newer version trial I can download and try out?

Please let me know.

Thanks!

No, however, the new Creator 2009 has a 30 day money back refund  (http://www.roxio.com.../cs_refund.html ).
