I am running
Roxio Creator DE
Version: 9.0.116
Build: 901B16M, DL2

When I am connected to the internet my MyDVDDE9 opens up and functions just fine without any issues.  However if I am not connected to the internet and I attempt to open Roxio Creator I recieve the notice - The Trial Version of the Product has Expired-

Does anyone know why this could be happening, I am registered, have a key code and a working serial number and obviously if it works when I'm online then there must be a glitch or a patch...

I am running windows Vista on my computer and realize there is an update for Vista for version 9.1 and have downloaded the 655 MB file but when I go to install it I am told I don't have a program to match that update on my computer.

let me know if you need more information.

Thanks for your help!

Read the information carefully about the software update you mentioned below. It appears that your version either came preloaded with a PC or bundled with store bought media drive. Even if your version is a "full" version (not a trial version), the version Build you have does not match the description below in order to be eligible for the update.

Update Easy Media Creator 9 Suite and Easy Media Creator 9 Deluxe Suite

This Easy Media Creator 9.1 update does not offer any new features except for Windows Vista Certification. While the update will work with Windows XP and Windows 2000, it is not a mandatory update. All programs except CinePlayer are supported on Windows 2000.

Please read before downloading:

  • You must have a valid copy of the full, retail version of Easy Media Creator 9 or Easy Media Creator 9 Deluxe Suite on your system in order to install this update. If you did not purchase a retail copy of Creator, this update will not work for your version of Creator 9. To check if you are eligible to the update, run any program in the Creator Suite and choose About This Software from the Help menu. The third line will display your build number. If your build number starts with 90 and ends with R03 you are eligible for the Easy Media Creator 9 Suite update. If your build number starts with 90 and ends with R04 you are eligible for the Easy Media Creator 9 Deluxe Suite update. You must choose the correct updater for your version. As an easy reminder, the Deluxe Suite version comes with the Dazzle® DVC 90 USB video input device."

The 'DE' ending says it's a cut-down OEM version from Dell and none of the upadtes here will work on it. You will jave to contact Cell for any patches (and possibly a copy of the program to re-install it)
