I'm trying to burn an audio CD with files that have Chinese names. After clicking 'Add Music' and selecting such files I get an error message saying 'The file you selected could not be found on your system and has not been added' and lists the files as ???.mp3. I'm assuming it comes out as ? marks because it doesn't recognize the language. So, are there language packs to download and install? It's really annoying have to change the names of all the files in order to burn it. Any help appreciated, thanks.

Do you have Asian language support (from Microsoft) installed in your Windows?

I don't think you'll be able to do anything at all in Windows, with files with Chinese names unless you have downloaded and installed that support pack.

I have the same problem. I am running Win XP SP2 with Chinese language installed. When I try to select a Chinese font from the drop down list, all I see are ?????. I don't have language problem with other applications, such as MS Office, Adobe etc.

Since you are using WinXP, have you tried the WinXP built-in data and music burning abilites?

Thank you all for taking the time to share with me your knowledge. Yes I have Asian Language Pack installed and I can read and compile Win Word files in Chinese. In EMC 8 Label Creator, I can create and printe CD labels in Chinese. However in Copy/Compile, any Chinese characters I entered becmes ????.
Have to do more trials in both EMC 8 & EMC 10 in these 2 areas and let you know the results. Thanks again.

I had to rub my eyes to make sure that I was reading the dates correctly. You mean to tell me that you made a post and decided to check on it a year later?
