Whenever I start Videowave or MyDVD I get a warning window informing me which video card I have and that the driver may be out of date. I have updated the driver prior to installation of EMC9 but can find no way to stop this window appearing. !Not a major problem but very irritating. Any suggestions would be welcome.

This could indicate that your video card does not fully support DirectX 9. What card do you have?

Leaving EMC 9 installed, try uninstalling then re-installing your video drivers.

Graphics card is S3 Graphics ProSavage DDR - worked withoy=ut problems with latest DivX and EMC8

happens to my test machine which has an onboard Intel video card... if you go to Tools -> Options, are you able to switch render mode to Hardware?

tried that - switched to hardware and after test the program switched back to software

As it should. Looking at the S3 page, the ProSavage is a legacy chipset and if I remember correctly was designed for DirectX 5 or 6. It would be advisable to purchase a newer video card.
