Hi All,

I was hoping that someone could help me figure out how to remove the black bands that surround my photos when I import them into Storyboard. I will be projecting the finished product onto a white screen and would like to either get rid of the bands altogether by having the photo occupy the entire panel size, or, is there a way to make the black bands white?

I have tried adjusting the size of the photos, but that didn't help. Is there a setting I'm missing???

Any help would be greatly appreiciated.

What part of the program are you using to make the slideshow? Put a white panel in where the picture is, switch to timeline and put your picture on the overlay track. Right click on the overlay, click on edit, adust the width so the black disapears (if it is only on the sides) use zoom to adjust size. Just try playing around with it until all you see is the picture and while background.

I'm first editing the photos in Photosuite, then using DVD Builder (storyboard). It's in the storyboard panel and preview window that I get the black borders.

It is better to use videowave for editing and compiling your slideshow. What is the size you are using for you pictures?

If you want your photos to fill a standard screen, when you're editing them, you need to crop them to a 4:3 format. Most editing programs will let you set the crop ratio. If you crop to some other ratio, then the images will either be too tall or too wide, and you'll have a "border" on two edges.
