Today I came across the products of a company called Proxure ( http://www.proxure.com/products.htm) one of which is MyTV ToGo. As a Mac user running MCE 2005 this was very exciting news and I followed the bread crumbs here to Roxio.

As far as I can see the Roxio site no longer lists MyTV ToGo Premier as a product (I would guess the product merely labelled MyTV ToGo is not the Premier version described by Proxure).

I would certainly like the Premier version and indeed I have a list of things I think should be added to it to catch up with Apple developments since it was first mentioned.

So firstly, I have seen messages in this forum suggesting Roxio are blaming an external supplier for the delays, it would seem this supplier must be Proxure as the original authors.

Secondly, does this product (MyTV ToGo Premier) still exist? Is there a link to a Roxio page listing it? (Not the 'ordinary' MyTV ToGo.)

Thirdly, my wish list. This product now needs to support the new 640x480 resolution supported by the latest iPod 5G (Video) firmware using MPEG4 H.264 Low Complexity profile. In addition, it should also (if it does not already) support converting DVR-MS to MPEG4/MPEG4 H.264 at full resolution (i.e. the same resolution as the original DVR-MS). This would then mean recordings would be at the best possible quality in iTunes (even possibly in HD resolution) and ready for display on Apple's forthcoming "iTV" (or whatever it will be officially called). Remember the "iTV" will support iTunes on a PC (according to Steve Jobs).

I was just chatting with a roxio tech support person named Preet, and after busting his chops about not updating the website with the release date and he said:

"10/24/2006 - Preet: But I have just got a confirmation that the Premier version should go live in a couple of weeks"

So we'll see.

I am not sure that it is anyones fault. Roxio is not blaming any external supplier. We are just looking to release a solid product.
