I may not understand. I have a disc with music in MP3 format. I copied it at 41X , Isn't that suppose to creat a .wav file?

How do we make MP3's into .wav?

There are a few ways to do this but maybe the easiest way is to use Sound Editor to convert your mp3's into wav files.

If you copy a disc all you'll have is a duplicate of what you already have. You need to do as Paul says and use Sound Editor to add the mp3's and output as wav files.Keep in mind there will be no gain in sound quality going back to a wav file.It can only sound as good as the mp3 it was made with.
You can make an Audio cd which will have wav files on it and will play in any standard cd player.Use Music Disc Creator to do that and add the mp3s from your original disc to get the tracks you want.

Reading between the lines there I think what teak is trying to do is make a 'proper' audio from mp3s

Open Creator Classic, select music CD and drag the mp3s in there - if you select data it will leave them unconverted but selecting audio will convert them on the fly to CD Audio (commonly but mistakenly called .wav)

You will be able to spot if you have it set right - an audio CD will only hold about 20 - 25 tracks - a data/mp3 one will hold up to 100 - additionally, the audio one will tell you the duration in time

That's why I threw in the part about Audio cd's,just in case.I know they're actually PCM but didn't want to confuse the issue..lol

Actually, Daithi, Creator Classic starting with version 8, doesn't "do" Audio CDs anymore, he'll have to select Music Disc Creator. Then he can populate his layout with the .MP3 files he wants (be sure you've selected Audio CD, not MP3/WMA Disc) and when you write the disc, the files will be decompressed into a standard Audio CD format.

Hope that helps!
