EMC 7.5 does not allow editing of label text in some saved labels. When I dbl clk text box, the Edit Smart Objects dialog box opens instead of text highlight. This does not happen with all saved labels.

I had the exact same problem.
My problem seems to have been caused by using a file created by a previous version of Label Creator as a starting point. Even though I could edit those text fields, once the file was saved, I could no longer edit them. The solution was to start fresh. So far, so good.
I also installed the update bringing the version to 7.5.2.49.CAL
