Thank you for the suggestion. That alone did not fix it, but shortly after doing the "repair install" I got to thinking....why did I still have virtual drives configured from when I had release 8 on this system? As soon as I removed the virtual drive, I got the vb error that everyone is complaining about. I rebooted the system, and bingo, my home screen works great!!
So, you got me on the track and I appreciate it!
