Hi,

I am trying to use the VideoWave project files I created to build my DVD and when I select Add New Movie and then select a VideoWave dmsm file in MyDVD 8, I get the following error message

Add Movie operation failed
800040005

I installed the hot fix even though it appears to be for a different problem, rebooted the system and still have the same error.

I opened VideoWave and opened my first project I want to use. I then selected the Send to MyDVD from the File menu. It adds the first Title to MyDVD. When I then select Add New Movie to bring in the second title, I get the same error as above.

I searched the forum for Add Move 80004005 and there are no hits. I search MyDVD 80004005 and there are so many hits that don't appear to be related.

If I select the mpeg files created in VideoWave, I can add the first two files and when I select the 3rd file, Windows XP crashes and reboots the system.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Sometimes happens with ATI card. Search for that; there are different things to try. I assume you have the latest drivers for that card.

Thanks for your response. I downloaded and installed the ATI mobility 6.11 driver and that gets me past the 2nd problem. However, I still have the 80004005 error when trying to add dmsm files

The 80004005 problem is resolved by the hot fix that is pinned even though the description does not seem to apply. I thought I had installed it previously but evidently it did not install.
