Install went smooth no problems!

Only thing I noticed was a longer install time.

492MB download.

What did I get?
Content disc included?

No sign of D2D.

One way to check is to launch MyDVD, click on Change Menu Style or Change Menu Button, and see if it brings up a dozen or so template styles. In Videowave, check if you have sufficient number of transitions available.

Edit: I just noticed you mentioned 492MB. Hmmm, the actual program disc is about 600+MB and the Content disc is about 300+ MB.

OK Jess, Videowave seems ok for all four effects . My DVD has three Menu Style, and all the button style have a red x across them.

cd, when I installed, I was not able to choose not to install D2D and it was installed as a separate program not under the EMC programs. It also had a separate uninstall in the control panel. It might have installed and it's hiding somewhere.
My guess is that there is not content disc included in the trial.

Paul,
I looked and I can't find any sign of D2D. Nothing in add or remove either. Add or remove did report Roxio EMC 9 Suite 505.00MB, no trial mentioned there or start programs.

Wonder why? Doesn't the trial have a 30 day life before it craps out?

Sounds like a stripped down version, just to give a taste of EMC9.

That is what it said, when I installed it. I like that a equal playing field with the competitor. Hey D2D is no loss to me, I don't use it anyway.

Maybe someone was worried about D2D "permantly" disappearing the data?

Now that was a funny joke, and i know many would agree over the D2D not been included, i never used it at all, so no loss in my book

D2D is not included in the Trial. DMX, BUMP,Sightspeed, Xongtone, Content Disc and a couple other minor functions are not included either.

Once EMC 9 is purchased through Trial, there will downloads for these components as well as the Content Disc.

Thank you Ivan.

Question will it uninstall after it expires without a fight, or should you vanish it before then?

you should be able to uninstall the trial from Add or Remove Programs without any issue... at least that's the experience I had with my tests... wink.gif

sad.gif Not the case with my install, the trial version would not completely install, and Add or Remove did not remove the program, I am stuck with the program tring to reinstall itself about every 20 mins or so.

If it didn't install, you won't be able to uninstall it. If it shows in Add/Remove Programs, go there and try to do a Repair.

If that doesn't work, do the steps in the following, and make sure your virus program is shut down when you try to install again.
