Hi, I have read with great interest the discussion with the Epson and can imagine the replies that may come to this cry for help. But... does anyone know what paper type I must select to get Roxio to print the whole image onto the disc? at 50 euro cents per disc its getting expensive trying out things!

I would use the software that came with the Canon. I don't know if EMC 7.5 supports the Canon, since it isn't available in the U.S. or Canada, the last I looked. Maybe Roxio could not get the Canon to do testing with.

I had this same issue with the HP D5160. If the printer is not available in the paper selection you will have to figure out the settings yourself. I would suggest loading the software and drivers that came with your printer first. After that, select generic paper and adjust the start position in the page setup menu until you get it right.

Two things assited me:

1. I used peel and stick labels on the clear plastic protector you get when you buy a stack of disc's. This saved me wasting printable CDs. If you don't have your protectors anymore, you can still use the stick on labels on your pritable CD to limit the waste. I would not use more than three labels per disk for fear of making the thickness too great that it might damage the printer. This method only had me use one printable CD as proof that I had it correct.

2. My printer had a preview to print option. This allowed me to see if I was in the ballpark before I even tried to print (and saved a lot of ink and labels).

It still took me two hours and about 15 labels to get the settings right. If you get them correct, please share them on this forum. My settings for the HP are available under the general discussion section.

This is probably obvious worth sharing in case. If the printer isn't supported I use the 'Export Current Layout as Image' option under File (in Label Creator) the use another package that does, eg Surething CD Labeller.

That is what I do for the HP D5160 all one needs!
