Full Version: My DVD not showing background
Roxio Community > Easy Media Creator Products > Legacy Creator Products > Easy Media Creator 9 > Interface Issues
When I open My DVD, the background of the big window that displays "My Menu" (along with "Production" if called from the video editor) is black. If I click on "Preview", I see the picture background in the preview screen. My daughter has the same version, so I know that the background should also appear in the large area when My DVD starts. Does anyone have an idea why this is not working on my PC? I have downloaded the latest drivers for my video card. Thanks.

What video card is it?

I have a similar problem. I just did a clean install of Roxio EMC 9. Some things work when I try to create a DVD. I can load videos, for example, but when I try to change the menu background nothing happens - it stays black.
My new system (built several weeks ago):
ASUS striker extreme motherboard
Intel Core 2 extreme QX6700 Quad CPU
EVGA GeForce 8800GTX graphics board
2GB of memory
Windows XP Pro
running at screen resolution 1600x1200
(I had the same problem at 1280x1024)
I have all the latest drivers, including DirectX 9c. If I can't get the background feature to work, the program would be useless to me.
Anybody have any ideas as to how to fix this problem?

Perhaps something screwed up the location of the menu images. Try this.
