Hi,
I've recently started having problems burning DVD's on my Intel iMac. This only happened in the past week or two. This is happening when I am burning a video DVD and it pops up when trying to Finalize the disc. Instead of taking a minute or so to finalize it seems to stall for a few minutes and then pops up the following error message.
"Couldn't complete the last command because of a Mac OS Error. Result Code = -5001
I have tried using older versions of Toast and it made no difference.

I see nobody bother to respond and was wondering if you found a solution as I am getting the same error using Titanium 7.1.2 on OS X 10.3.9 writing the lead out on a LaCie d2 DVD±RW with LightScribe.

Not sure of the error number but I get that message too when starting a burn. Has not happened at finialize yet. Usually for me it is a space thing.

I really do not know, but check where you are saving the converted items to, and make sure there is plenty of room there too. You can find out where in preferences.
I too have an external drive LaCie, and I find it helpful to always use software to open and close the drawer. A reboot just before writing might help. Toast must have to communicate through OS to the device. There must be a cache issue involved also.
I am really just guessing, but the converted items thing and space available had me confused and baffled, until Tsantee explained it to me. Toast won't give a warning sometimes about converted items space, it will just bomb out.
