Up to now I have used film, had images transferred to cd and then downloaded the images to my hard drive. ("My Pictures"). From there, I edited the pictures, created a slide show using storyboard and made vcd's. The resolution of the images has been poor and I was told that this was due to using film converted to cd etc.
So... I now have a five megapixel camera, took pictures at the highest resolution, downloaded to "MY Pictures" and used the same procedure dpi as above and the results were the same! Unsharp images.
When looking at the data from each image on the storyboard the data read 180 dpi. I was told that print quality is 300 dpi. I don't know what that means.
What adjustments can be made to get acceptable image quality?
