I am getting very long response times from Popcorn 1 and Toast 7. Every single click is followed by at least a full minute of the spinning beach ball. i have re-installed Toast 5 & 6 to see if they are behaving as badly now as their youngers. Their response time is similar. All these apps (except 7, i just bought 7 hoping it would fix this problem) worked fine 6 months ago. Now they are very, very slow.

Any suggestions how to fix this without returning 7 and moving to PC?

I had something like this happen once but don't recall what made it go away. Try shutting down (not restarting). Also, discconect and audio or video devices that are connected via Firewire.

Which 10.x.x version are you using? What machine? Did you repair permissions/priviledges prior to and after installing each application? When was the last time you ran daily, weekly, monthly cron scripts?
