Everytime I try and open MYDVD8 I get an error messages that reads "certifiticate file is missing or corrupted. Please re-install it." Does anyone know how can I fix this? I need to use MYDVD.

Thanks, I did that but the error window is there. MyDVD express works fine and did before. I just need MyDVD to work again so I can use all the features.

Are you saying it was working at some point, and now it's not?
If so, have you installed or updated any software since it was, like IE 7 or WMP 11?

I did install IE7 last december. The last time I used MyDVD was on Jan 5 and it worked fine. I did read somewhere on here that IE7 interefered with EMC9 but I am using EMC8 suite. I really dont want uninstall everything since the other applications are working.

IE7 interferes with some people using EMC9 but it DOES wreck ALL versions prior to that, including EMC8 as does Windows Media Player 11

The only cure is removal of both IE7 and WMP11

I found my intsaller CD and ran that. One of the options on the CD is Repair and that seems to have fixed my problems. I openned MyDVD8 after the repair and this time there was no certifitcate error message.

Glad you got it working again - however, be careful with IE7 and WMP11 - they really DO cause a lot of problems

Always someone here if you need help again (you bring the beer) laugh.gif
