I recently upgrade my OS from Window Me to XP. My v4 CD creator wouldn't work any longer (and was no longer supported) so I upgraded to V9, which I downloaded. The install seemed to go ok, but after the obligatory re-boot, there are drivers that are disabled to protect the system stability. Error listed below.
"CD-recording driver is installed that might cause stability problems, including problems shutting down and problems using a CD/DVD drive. This driver will be disabled. "
How do I work around this?

First of all uninstall EMC9 before starting
You have some old ECD4 stuff in your system that needs to be removed. Use this
utility to clean it out and also run the MS Cleanup utility
toolThen re-install EMC9

I'll try it. Does it matter if I install the drag and drop s/w first or the drag and drop first?

Uninstall both - I normally keep D2D well clear of my system (I don't trust it, never use ut and it's as reliable as an igloo in the Sahara)
The reason I suggest uninstalling 9 is Roxizap can mess that up anyway, so better safe than sorry

This appeared to work. I just ran the roxio uninstaller, not the windows one because of the threats of installining compnents needed by other applications.
Thanks,
Steve
