sad.gif Hi, I just purchased this computer, and have tried running Creator Basic 9. When I click on the file, I get the message that the certificate file is missing or corrupt, please reinstall. I have removed the original program and reinstalled twice, but get the same message when I run it again. When I check the Roxio folder in progam files it only contains the Express labeler file. The creator basic file is in C:/common files/shared /Roxio........ Is this the correct file for the Creator 9 file to be in.

Thank you
Reg

Check in the knowledge base - there's one here for an earlier report of the same problem

smile.gif Thank you for this info. I will give it a try and let you know what happens. Hopefully it won't be a message saying I've trashed my registry . Lol JK

angry.gif I am denied access to docs and settings folder, so can't continue reinstall using these instructions. I am supposed to have administrator rights so I should be able to open everything, right? I have tried to find and change access to all the files. Anyone know how to set up full access for the administrator for these files.
I am getting a little ticked because I have had this computer for 4 days and want to do a back up before I install all my junk stuff. If I purchase a better version of Roxio and install it, will the parts of the old program I have on my computer cause it to error too????

Thank you
Reg

Failing to access the settings folder is more down to Vista's 'security' than EMC - check with MS if that problem has been reported there

Thanks for that update Medic and gi7omy
I am going to go over my security settings and see if I can change anything.
