Help.
I just started using DVDit Pro HD. It installed without any problem and I was able to create a little test project; however, when I try restart the project later I get a message
f90: Application failed to start because sonicmpgvout.dll was not found
After I click ok, the project does restart, but that is not a good sign.
The file actually exists and is in the DVDit Filter directory. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the program but the error message persists. I noticed that I had Windows Media Encoder installed and so I uninstalled that also in case there were conflicts, rebooted, etc.
Has anybody else here had such a problem?
Thanks for any help.

did you have another sonic application on that system? myDVD or record now? likely a shared dll that got messed up in the install or something of that sort?
No, but I had had Roxio's Easy Media Creator 9 installed previously. It is now uninstalled. I followed the instructions on that forum and tried to remove any directories that were left behind. Unfortunately, like with many programs after one uninstalls them there is still lots of junk left in the registry (I also ran the Microsoft registry cleaner).
I just discovered how to solve the missing file problem. All I had to do was to add the file to the
Program Files/Common Files/Roxio Shared/DLLshared
directory and I no longer get that message. I wonder why it was not put there, but I guess it is better not to ask such questions.

So where did you get the file?

I searched my C: drive. A copy was found in C:\Program Files\Roxio\DVDit Pro HD
