I have a brand new Dell laptop with DVD +/R. I installed EMC9 Trial Version. Have an .avi video from Canon Camcorder loaded on my hard drive. I created a project, hit the burn button. EMC9 goes thru the encode, etc. process and finishes (with no error messages). However, the disc (I'm using DVD +R) is blank.

Running Windows XP Pro.

Can you help me resolve this issue? Thanks.

How do you know the disc is blank?

You did not say what program in the Suite you are using – box says there are 35 programs included.

.... but perhaps a little fewer in the trial version. I think DVDPro Info is included. Use that to find the disc manufacturer and to check for CRC burn errors on the disc. The program uses the burners firmware to get the instructions for the burn. It may be that your burner needs to have the firmware updated. Obviously Roxio does see your burner. Does your burner burn the type of disc you used ; DVD plus R or dash R or RW? Did you try burning to a CD?

If you are using MyDVD to burn (and you should be) you have three options - burn to disc, burn to folder and burn to image file (iso). Which one did you choose? Try burning to an iso file (no other options selected) and then using Disc Copier to copy the iso file to the disc.
