I purchased a new computer in March which of course has Vista (Home Premium) as the OS. EMC9 was already installed. I have three years of pictures that I've burned with EMC8 which now I cannot access. Does anyone have any ideas/suggestions? I've tried installing EMC8 but that doesn't work. The disc just spins around and is not recognized at all by any of my photo programs. I know the drive itself works since I've used it with other things. I can't believe I've lost three years worth of pictures!?!

You didn't happen to use Drag to Disc to burn those photos, did you? If so, you can try CD Roller or ISO Buster to recover the data. Never use packet writing software like Drag to Disc, Nero's InCD, or Sonic's DLA for backing up important data.

Use Creator Classic instead.

Thanks Bruce. Yes, I did you Drag to Disc. Hmm, live and learn. I'll try your suggestions. I appreciate your input.

Well, I hope that you are able to recover those pictures.
