Hi,
I am using EMC 7.1 and backup my data on a monthly basis.

Is there a way to set EMC 7.1 to backup only what has changed since my last backup date? This really would save on CDs.

Thanks,

Depends on what your are using to backup with. Roxio Backup or Backup MyPC.

Then I think you are stuck with doing all as that is not really a backup program. If you were using Backup MyPC you can do full, incremental, or differential backups.

Thanks, But BackupMYPC is not available to me. Guess it is time for an upgrade!

Then again, discs made as a data project using Creator Classic are readable on any computer ... and, if your data were lost, would it cost more than the 15 cents per CD-R (by the spindle) to replace it ...?

You can't have Creator Classic do what you want, but it's really relatively easy to do it manually. Open Creator Classic. Click on the "Modified" column header in the top pane to sort by date modified. Select the first file, scroll down to the last one before you hit your previous backup date, shift-click that file to select all the files to that point, and add them to the project. Write the disc.

Or, if you prefer, open Creator Classic, then open Windows Explorer, sort, select, drag and drop the files into Creator Classic. Write the disc.

Hope that helps!
