I've been using this product for approx. 1 year. Currently I'm backed up to a +RW media. The backups always completes OK. Today for the first time I needed to restore one program file(s) and inserted the latest backup I created. Backup MyPC asked to load an older version I created some months ago and of course would not use my current backup DVD. What is my issue? Thank you

Incremental backup ? The instructions for the backup may be on that first disc. I don't use that application but that is how other backup programs work. Since discs are inexpensive, don't use RW discs. They can spontaneously revert to the amorphous state if not handled or stored correctly.

As stated above, if you were doing incremental/differential backups all this time, it will need to start with the beginning. If you want to check what is on your latest disk, go to the restore page and in the upper right corner, hit the drop down and select device view while the most current backup is your drive. It will create a temporary backup of just what is on that disk. If your file was backed up this time, you can restore using this temp catalog.
As stated, it is not a good idea to use RW media of any kind. They degrade and after a year, or a day, you might not have any data to restore.

I've always used "All Files Selected" backup. I will go back to read only DVD.

After reviewing my procedures, I am able to successfully restore files. Thank you
