I keep getting this error: "An error has occurred recompressing the video"

I have the new Dual Core Imac with a Matshita DVD-R UJ846

I am using Mac the Ripper

I am using Maxell DVD-R 8x discs

I have tried backing up three different movies

Hope this will help i had the same problem you have. This was the solution i use Fujifilm DVD+R 8x when am burning the dvd i set the speed to 6x and have never had a problem since with cds i just put best speed try that oh i use Roxio to rip. Good luck

Make sure you are doing a full disc extraction with MTR.
