You have a corrupt download - go and download it again and turn off any blockers and a/v software until the download commences

thanks again

we shall try this method

Ok I d/l twice with AV off and both times I get same message Not enough space??

I have no other software that would interfere with this d/l

what next?

OK - try it this way. Open the downloaded file with winrar or winzip and extract it to a folder anywhere - and run setup.exe from there (it's a self-extract archive file)

If it can't be opened, then the file is definitely corrupted.

I am confused. From where exactly, did you download EMC 7?

It's still available if you have been given the URL by Roxio, Bruce.

I have no clue what that software really was, but unless the 94 MB file is was compressed 10:1, it isn't anything like the real deal, which is around 1 GB.

QUOTE(gi7omy @ Jan 16 2007, 10:44 AM)

Extracted with Winrar Bruce, it's round 187 MB - a lot missing even excluding the Content CD

And you think the OP is referring to the trial version?

Just where is THAT mentioned?

Also, if you actually read the posts - he says he's using v7 - and NOT v7.5 which is the trial version at download.com
