I need to know how to activate mpeg2 codec. It says permission denied or bad installation. I reinstalled twice. Roxio's solution doesn't work. I have no activate offline button.

I have Roxio Creator 9. I would like to know what MyDVD looks like.

The only thing I know that works, even though it may take 3 or 4 times, is the clean install method. Clean install EMC9
Download Regcleaner after you follow the uninstall portion and clear out all your cookies.
Yes, it should not be this hard!

So what did you do differently? The regcleaner? I'm curious as I did the EXACT same thing 3 times before it worked. Many new words were created during that time. blink.gif

Turn off your internet modem and it will force the activate offline button. The problem I had was the product key did not show.

The clean install recommended by Beerman got EMC0 to work but i messed something else up and did a system restore to out of box set up. I updated reloaded EMC9 and I have cut DVD's that work. No activation is necessary when you get a clean install.

Truly a pain down under.

I fixed the problem under XP with EMC 9.0 rev b for now. It's interesting that it didn't start showing up for a few days after I had installed the product. Activiation must have failed the first time.
