I have just upgraded from Easy Media Creator 7.5 to Easy Media Creator 9 (I did not remove 7.5 from my computer). I very disappointed that many of the slideshow transitions and overlays that I used in 7.5 are not in 9. I am not able to open a production that I made in 7.5 in 9. Is there anyway to added 7.5 transitions and overlays to 9?

Simple answer - No. However, if you are not seeing all of the transitions in EMC 9, it could be because of your video card or driver. EMC 9 now takes advantage of 'better' video cards and has been designed with DirectX.
First, run MyDVD or Videowave and under TOOLS menu, select OPTIONS. Click the graphics test. After it completes, where does the 'dot' stay. If it is on SOFTWARE, your video card does not fully support the 3D DirectX commands needed for some of the transitions and effects so they will NOT show up.
Update your video card driver and make sure you have the latest DirectX (JUNE 2007). You have to do this manually. Windows update will not update DirectX!

Thank you for your quick response.
You made that sound so simple. You are correct, mine stayed on Software. I don't know where to start to update my driver - can you give me a hint?

Creative is your sound card. RIGHT click on My Computer and choose MANAGE.
In the left pane, click on Device manager
All of your devices should show up in the right pane. Click on the "+" beside Display Adapter.
Post what you find there.

I doubt you will be able to do very much video work with your system since your systemis at the bottom end of the system requirements

And this card can not fully support DirectX 9. That is why it must stay on 'software' render. The card was probably designed for DirectX 7 or 8.
