I have tried to burn a slide show onto a DVD but 'no disc' is displayed when I play it on my stand alone DVD player. On my PC it playes beautifully. I am obviously not noticing some option or selecting tan inappropriate option.

I did burn a MPEG version but on TV and PC the fidelity was poor.

Advice appreciated.

It could be the disc itself - some DVD players are very picky over what they will and won't play. Try a different brand and see if that improves it

I thought of that and tried a different brand.

My thought was I had missed a process somehow. I must admit I am new to this version having replaced a previous version. Incidentally whn uninstalled I made sure it was a clean install of '9'.

About missing a process, I have been back through the stages again to see what might have gone wrong. Now getting to them point where I cannot see the wood for the trees.
I try it on the PC as well.... no good.

I am reluctant to blame the program, it seems that most people who have problems are inexperienced, like me I suppose; or expect too much and tend to test everything to destruction and then complain.

Maybe try playing the disc in your friend's stand alone DVD player and see if that works.

I have tried it on several players. Situation does not change.

Why not explain what program your using and what steps your taking in making the Slide Show ?

In five post's I see no reference to any details. Today I'm not into guessing.

I am following all the steps dictated by the Slide Show facility in EMC 9. I don't know what else to say as I don't seem to have a choice but follow the menu options dictated by each step.

I ran into this problem today but I think that I didn't wait long enough for the DVD to be finalized. Once the DVD is ejected by the software (MyDVD for me) then it should be finalized.
