I have Roxio 8.2, a friend of mine has Easy CD 6. He gave me Bin and Cue files he created in 6 to burn 2 CDs but I can't get them to do anything other than copy- literally! They will not function- the .cue file reads as an audio file, and the .bin burns as one whole file intact, not it's extracted components.
What the heck am I missing here?!?! blink.gif

Question here. Why didn't your friend burn them himself? Are they downloaded movies from the Internet?

No, they are not downloaded movies- don't care about that kind of stuff, thanks. They are CDs for a base install of a game we both have already- only my version is part of an anthology pack that combines four versions of the same game. I need the base install to help him do some work on his game server, and need it on a separate partition in my computer from my main game pack so I can work on some modifications and maps without fear of destroying the intertwined gamepack!

I don't know if this is the case here, but many games use a non-standard writing when they make the discs. Their installer knows its' way around it but they will not copy correctly.

Well, he's made perfectly good discs from these same files already- so they should work okay. I just can't figure out how to get my newer version of Roxio to use his older bin and cue files!

How did you get the files onto disc?Take the bin/cue file, right click and hit "Burn with Disc Copier".This should make a disc that works from the image file you have (as long as those files are good).

Make that 'open the cue file with copier' - that's the one that will load the bin file laugh.gif
