I successfully created an audio disc by ripping from a video dvd and it played on a cd player and in my vehicle. I ripped another dvd and put the audio on a cd. This disc plays in my computer but it will not play in the cd player or in my vehicle. I used wav format and used the same settings both times. What happened?

I stumbled into a fix for this issue.

In the Project Type I selected Audio Cd the first time and MP3/WMA disc the second time.
When I selected Audio CD it worked!

Excellent detective work! Although some cd players are capable of playing a mp3 audio cd, apparently not the cd player in your vehicle. If compatibility across a broad range of cd players is important when burning an audio cd, it is always best to create a standard digital audio cd, where the music is converted to digital audio tracks.
