I don't know what's going on. I imported a DV file that was originally created from from my Sony Camcorder. The AVI file is 347 MB. When I go into Auto Easy Edit and select the scenes I want, the scenes are selected but no sound except for the intial Title from Roxio. All other (native) sound is dead. I did a sample burn as a SVCD file (MPEG) and the final output also had no sound except for the title by Roxio. Yet, if I do a regular preview (no editing or selection) the native sound is heard. I used GSPOT and my codec for audio is PCM. It makes no difference now which mode of editing I use but the native sound is dead.

Any help?

There may be something corrupt with the file. Did you capture it using an I-link cable (firewire)? How long, timewise is the video clip?

PCM should work, but try AC3.

Thanks for the reply. No there is nothing corrupt with the file. I have used Intervideo Win DVD without any problems and I have used a firewire I link). Also, I have successfully converted/edited part of the file into a .wma but not using Roxio. Therefore, the problem is Roxio. The total time of the video is 15 minutes but I snipped/deleted scenes to make it only 2 minutes.

BTW, how do I change from PCM to AC3? When I select what type of output, I choose SVCD but the problem happens in the previewing stages AFTER I enter Cinemagic Assistant. I just ran the video (without scene selection in Videowave) and I have audio but not in Cinemagic.

Does Cinemagic delete all prexisiting audio? I have no audio filters in the C:\Documents and Settings\xxxxx\Application Data\Roxio\VideoUI9\AudioFilters folder.

In MyDVD, click on File, then on Settings. Uncheck Fit to Disc, then click to the left of AC3.

Try your production, using VideoWave for editing, then MyDVD for making the menus and burning.

No it doesn't delete the native audio, but it does mute it. Cinemagic is designed to create a kind of montage using just the visuals from your source stuff and the audio comes from the audio file(s) you use in the project. if you don't add any audio to a Cinemagixc project, you'll get none in the output.

Like Bruce said, you need to use Videowave to create your project if you want any of the native audio in your video files to be heard.
