Is there a way in EMC8 to merge tracks?

For example, I have a CD with one sermon in three tracks. Can I merge the three tracks into one?

Use Sound Editor. Bring all 3 sermons in, and down in Mix Editor, hold down the Ctrl key, and click on each of the 3 tracks, then when highlighted, click on Join clips.

Then, if there is some dead space between them, you can go up into Clip Editor and get rid of it.

Next, click on File, Export Clips/tracks as, pick whatever sound format you want, pick a folder on your hard drive that you want them saved, and click on Export, or whatever the prompt is.

Thanks for the help. For the future; is this instruction in EMC8 HELP somewhere? I made an effort to find the answer before I posted the question.

You are welcome. I have never read the Help files. smile.gif

Neither the help files from the Home app or the help files in Sound Editor really tell very much.If you go to either and type joining in the search box you'll get what little they have.

When I try to move the tracks into tht sound editor I can only get one track. I tried selecting all tracks but still only one track at a time will go in. I don't see Join clips anywhere?

I added 3 clips one at a time by hitting add audio file. You can see where the 3 are. Then just hit join and you'll get one track. Then hit export track and save i where you want.

I don't have version 8 on my computer. I have version 9, but as Terry shows in his attachment, it is the same in version 8 and version 9.

If you don't have that, it may not have been included in the stripped down version of EMC 8. There were 2 or 3 versions, and if you have the Essential version, most of the useful programs in it were limited in what they could do.

IMHO, having the multiple versions of EMC 8 was a HUGE mistake by Roxio.

I don't know what version of EMC8 I have. When I bought it there was only one version to choose.
I do not get the Sound Editor screen that Terry posted. So I must not have a full version.
I was about to upgrade to 9 anyway and I will try to get the most "souped up" version.
I really appreciate the help.

My reason for merging the tracks is to produce one sermon to upload to the Internet. It costs $1 per sermon to uplload but the length of the sermon is not a factor.

the feature to merge tracks was not included in my version of EMC8.
Thanks.
