I have tried enabling/disabling TiVo Desktop, checking the Network settings, Sharing settings, Firewall settings, restarted & powered off/on TiVo DVR, Airport Extreme, Mac Mini 10.4.10 and STILL don't see my DVR in the list in TiVo Transfer app. Can someone please suggest any other options?

I'd REALLY hate to have to pay $35 for a tech support call; which is WEAK!! - the first call to set-up the SW should be free IMO.

Try power cycling your cable modem, router and ethernet hub if you have one. Check to make sure your router settings show the same IP address as shown in the Tivo setting information.

When I bring up Airport Admin Utility, the IP Address under Configure TCP/IP using Ethernet is different from the one that shows up in my TiVo DVR's Network Settings. But, I have never had a problem with my TiVo's network connection before and it's been hard-wired via ethernet cable to my Airport Extreme Base Station for over a year.

Could the IP Address inconsistency be a problem eventhough the connection from my TiVo DVR to my Airport Base Station is working properly? If so, which IP Address should I change the one in the Airport Admin Utilitiy or the one in my Network Settings on my TiVo DVR?

I am having the same problem. Toast isn't working for me. I cannot see the TiVo through it at all. (Since I was forced to buy this to download TiVo to the Mac, I am more than a little annoyed. After all, the PC people's TiVo-to-Go works without another program.) Anyway, I've read the thread and I've done all that. Several times, as a matter of fact. Nothing is working. Maybe I should just return Toast and rely on a PC?

Oh, I have never used Toast before, and at this point, I am not impressed. I do not have an air port.

Any and all suggestions accepted. Thanks

TiVo Transfer uses Bonjour to "discover" the TiVo -- and Bonjour won't find it if the computer and the TiVo are on different subnets (with a 255.255.255.0 subnet mask)

How do the two addresses differ? The first three sets of values should be the same with a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0

Since the TiVo is wired, is your computer wireless? If they're both going to the same Airport base station, they should be on the same subnet.

Which router do you have? I've heard that some Linksys routers are configured out of the box to be blocking Bonjour -- which is what's used by TiVo Transfer to locate the TiVo boxes on the network.
