Two questions:

1. Why can't I get 4.4GB of wmv files onto a 4.7 GB compilation DVD?

2. Why's it take so long (24 hours and only 62% through phase 1 of 3)?

Thanks...

1) How are you trying to put those wmv files on a disc? Are you just copying them or are you putting them on a disc so you can watch them on a DVD player?
2) It depends on what you are doing. Are you talking about rendering? That's up to your CPU, the format of the file, the type of file you are going to, other programs on your computer.

I refrained from saying "because that's the way it is.

How about a little more detail about what you are doing, what application you are trying to use and your computer -- please a lot about you computer including your video card/chip and how much free and defragged space you have on your hard drive. Ar you trying to do anything else while the project is encoding?

A 4.7gb holds about 1 hour of best quality DVD Movie.

If you have a 4.4gb wmv file you have way over 1 hour on your hands.

File size is a useless measure for video work, think in Time.
