I have Creator Basic V9. This came with the new computer I purchased. This part of Roxio 9, copies a disk to a blank disk. The program will copy a disk that I ask it to, to my computer. It then ask for a blank disk, which I insert. It will not copy( or write) to the blank DVD disk I insert. It keeps asking me to insert a blank disk, which I did ten times.
My operatoring is Windows Vists Home premium.

Just what are you trying to copy and what part of the program are you using to do it?

Did you by any chance 'format' the blank disc? If so - you may as well toss it in the bin.

If you are trying to copy a commercial DVD, you should know that EMC 9 will NOT copy this (they're protected)

I found my problem. The program disk I was trying to copy was on a CD, which I was trying to copy to a DVD disk. I tryied coping to a CD disk and it worked.
I thought that It didn't matter what type of disk you try to copy to, but I quess, with this program, it does.

Thank You unsure.gif

If you copy the original CD to an image (.iso) file on the hard drive first, then open that, the suite will copy that to a DVD (bit of a waste of DVDs tho wink.gif )

Thank you for the info. I was thinking about trying that, but didn't. I will try to remember that next time.

Thank You again. biggrin.gif

I had the same problem when using a memorex disc. When I tried a Staples brand CD-R it burned. What's up with that?

That's NOT the same problem - the OP was trying a disc to disc copy from a CD to a DVD and that won't work

In your case, you probably had a faulty disc
