I bought a Windows XP from Dell. It states I have the Roxio Creator Basic/My DVD Basicinstalled -- Which number ould I have for updates & such ( where do I look? ) ?? I am unable to use my CD as I can't get it to open ---says " missing sonicmpgv.dll " !! Where do I go from here ?? I was able to use Roxio for copying a few months ago but don't know if I deleted something or not !! It keeps wanting me to insert the Roxio disc but I didn't get one ( only the operating system disc from Dell) . Any offers as to what I can do ?? Thankyou

You would need to contact Dell for a CD to re-install. The version you have is a cut-down OEM one.

You could try the trial version and see if the missing file is there (but I'm not really sure if that would work or not)

Thankyou so much for your quick reply. I will try the trial version ---but not too swift on finding files & putting them where they belong. I will also try giving Dell a call tomorrow---I think my time span has elapsed --for help . Thanks again ---also think I've deleted some Sonic files !!!
