After exiting from Roxio (eg. VideoWave) I find that there may be one or more Roxio components still in memory (using Task Manager-Processes).
Is there any way to stop this?
I have no Roxio components showing up in Msconfig-Startup.
There are Roxio components in Services (services.msc) and I can disable some of them but others have to remain in "Manual" Start or some Roxio programs will fail.
Why does Roxio not release memory when finished?

What particular components are showing up?
If I run VideoWave and then exit, "RoxioMediaDB9.exe" is listed in Processes.

I have at least six known Roxio services running after a boot up per Task Manager.

OK - I had all the TSR startup items disabled and ran up Videowave and fed the output to MyDVD
As you said, VideoWave9 and RoxMediaDB9 are both going TSR. All we can do now is wait and see if someone from Roxio can look into this. It does look as if the program isn't going into shutdown and clearing

I've run into the same problem with Dell's OEM version which pinned my TL60 proc at 50% for hours after I disabled the HDD monitoring utility. It's seems to be working OK now that I disabled the services .
