I would like to see this install / upgrade instruction posted.

I would be interested in knowing what needs to be done to prepare your system for the install / upgrade of V10 if you already have a previous version on your machine.

I would also like to know if V10 would coexist with an older version of EMC if you would so desire.

Maybe if there were known software conflicts, that information would also be useful.

Does anyone know if this information is available?

I have 9.1 and 10 installed on the XP/SP2 side of a dual boot (XP/SP2 & Vista) computer and they seem to work together O.K. Not sure about Vista though. I just have 10 installed on the Vista side.

On the knowledge base. There is a FAQ that says the V10 does not like MyDVD6 a couple of other things. Don't remember the others exactly.

Where is that FAQ located?

Thanks barryware, can't believe I didn't look there again (the 10 listing wasn't there earlier today).

That says it's a problem installing MyDVD 6 after having EMC 10 installed. Makes me wonder if it's a problem if one has MyDVD 6 already installed and then installs EMC 10. It would seem tome that would be a more likely scenario that will occur.

Windows MCE (media center addition) uses some sonic encoders and stuff to create a dvd from an MS-DVR file within MCE. I wonder exactly what that is. I wonder if installing EMC10 will break that feature of Windows MCE.

I guess we could wonder all we want. Probably just have to "give it a lash". Not so sure I want to be the Ginni pig though.

Works fine on WinXP MCE, but then WinXP doesn't have the built-in DVD burning either like Vista.
