Many of you have asked for a mechanism for automatically setting chapters in your projects. While it is pretty easy to just watch your video play back and press the insert button on your keyboard when you want a chapter, automated chaptering by time interval or number of chapters evenly spaced across a timeline would be nice to have. Don't know when that will show up in the interface, but in the meantime, here are three XML documents that you can import into DVDit Pro HD (with your media in a timeline, click on the "timeline" menu at the top of the interface and then select "import metadata"). These XML documents will put chapters every 5 minutes throughout a 2 hour timeline (If your timeline is shorter than 2 hours, it will lop off the chapters beyond the length of your timeline). If you're using AVIs or QT chapter points should be set every 5 minutes. If you are using MPEGs chapter points will snap to the nearest iFrame.
If you want to customize these for your purposes, you can crack open the XML documents in a text editor and manually change the chapter point references. Unfortunately they are hexadecimal references of frame numbers, but you can pretty easily get values for the chapter locations you want (so if you wanted chapters every 4 minutes you would need to say 4x60=240 seconds, 240 seconds x 29.97 = 7193 frames...and then find a decimal to hex converter and enter the info in the XML doc)
