I notice this topic was in another area of the board but it was locked. I tried to do exactely what the help directions were and it still would not work. it will not play the dvd.... I have the EMC9 deluxe suite.
I am trying to get Famous movie quotes from the dvds.
Can anyone help?

If it is a commercial DVD it isn't going to work no matter what you do.

If I play the dvd in a dvd player and hook it via usb port the dvd will play and download into my pc, but I dont want to download every movie I own into my pc. So I guess I'm screwed.

Well, the reason that ways to do this aren't discussed on these forums, is because it is illegal to copy those movies, sound or otherwise. Roxio could get in trouble for allowing discussions, such as those, in their forums.

Depending on your system and sound card, you may be able to record 'what you hear' when playing any sound on your PC. That would include any sound whilst playing a dvd movie in, say, WMP.
