unsure.gif I have made a dvd of 16 language CDs but it will only play on the dvd drive it was burnt on. How do I 'finalise' the disc so it will play in my car? [or other player]. I hope someone can help me. dbarre14

Does your car radio play DVDs - most don't? Did you put the disc in a DVD player and did it work? Were you able to see the menu? What format did you use? In fact, what application did you use? Application is not EMC 8.but one of the programs in EMC 8.

I used the DVD Music Assistant. Can see the menu in burner, but not other DVD player. DVD player recognises disc as DVD Video disc, and then shows Icon; but it doesn't go any further. CD player [Bose] and car [Blaupunkt] read disc then say 'Not playable'!
Some seem to suggest burning to a CD, but what sort of CD, and can I get good capacity?

What you did is create a DVD video basically.A DVD music disc is just a video dvd with just a menu and soundtrack. If your car player can play a normal video dvd then it should be able to play the disc,if not then it won't.
If your car player can play an mp3 disc then go back into Music Disc Creator and make an mp3/wma disc in the mp3 format. This should play.
As far as capacity an mp3 disc will hold far more tracks than a normal audio cd.How many depends on the size of the files.

Thank you for this help. I have now produced a cd with 4 mp3 cds' on it. I have tried to do the next [with 4 more], but can't. I used the limk in the middle under 'Audio' but now it says 'Wait, loading components' but never does! I've also tried link 'Audio cd for car or home player, but this tells me I can only have 99 or less files. I have reloaded and upgraded with 8.05 [Module Name: Roxio RecordNow Audio
Version: 3.0.0
Build: 300B66A, R8S], but still can't get the components to load!!! Can you help again?

Technically a mp3 disc is a data disc and not an audio one

Use Creator Classic, bring in the mp3s and burn that to the hard drive (as a .iso or .c2d file) as data or mp3

Double click on that file with a blank CD and it will write the contents and they will be finalised

Forget using the Home application.Go to Start,All Programs,RoxioEMC8,Audio and choose Music Disc Creator. Then do these things and hit burn, you should get a disc that will work.
