I keep getting these annoying "Zaps" at the end of each song when I burn a CD.
I could see it's created by the 2 second gap added to each one. If you watch the counter on the player,
it changes from the song length to "2 Seconds" which count back down to 0....and that's where the "pop"
noise can be heard.

How can I fix this?

Version 5 used to give you the option to burn Cds in "Disc At Once". I don't see the option. I know in that mode the noises were never heard.

Also you used to be able to merge two or more tracks together before burning. How can you do that in version 8?

Thanks,

What edition of EMC 8 do you have? Is it a version that came with a computer or player (probably an OEM/"light" version)? Or one you purchased?

The next question is, what part of the program are you using to write your Audio CDs? Are you starting the "Home" application and then selecting the option to write a Audio CD, or are you starting Creator Classic?

Let us know.

I bought Easy CD Creator 8. It didn't come with the computer. I open the program from the roxio icon on my desktop and then click audio CD for home or car

Okay... sorry for the delay getting back to you, I was away for the weekend, starting last Thursday evening.

You're using the "Home" application for making your CD. Instead, try opening Creator Classic. You can get there from the home menu, but I don't recall the exact path, or, from Start -> Roxio EMC 8 -> Applications -> Creator Classic. (Or something close to that...) In there, you can select to make an Audio CD, and when you go to start the burn, there should be a check-box that says, "Read Only Disc", make sure that check-box is checked, that's the option for Disc-At-Once.

Also, open a few of your .WAV files in Sound Editor and make sure there isn't a real "blast" of noise at the end for some reason.

Hope that helps!

Good idea Dave but this is V8,it uses Music Disc Creator to do Audio cd's not creator Classic.
Use his same directions Brian except use Music Disc Creator instead of Creator Classic.
Get there by Start,All Programs,Roxio EMC8,Audio,Music Disc Creator.Read-only-disc is checked automatically and greyed out.

THANK YOU!!! THANK YOU!!! I don't have to pull my hair out anymore. It worked perfect.
It took me ahwile to find "Music Disc Creator". It was actually under the name "Create And Edit Music
Projects".

So If anyone else is looking for it in V*-- Click on the desktop icon---then choouse audio/audio guide.
and the then it's the last option listed-- "Create And Edit Music Projects".

Thank you both for your help!!!!

If you have a retail version you should have been able to find it under Roxio EMC 8 from the start menu.
A lot of times things work better when you use the applications from the Start menu instead of from the Home application.
