It is all but impossible to un-install this piece of sh*t from an otherwise well working pc ... unless you INSTALL a different prg from a place known only to them! By whomever and for whatever reason. After this "new" uninstall prg is on your pc it cannot be removed!! I feel it truly is too late.

Or ignored! That pisses me off more than anything. I understand I should have checked the product oout a bit furhter, I understand I might need to learn a thing or two, but I also paid money, which I earned by doing things for people who usually don't give a crap about, and I would like to at least get what I paid for! I think that is NOT an unrealistic idea, nor is it a demand.

There should be a Browse button beside that. Insert the install disc and point it to the CD. If I remember correctly, that MSI is in the root of the CD.

I would suggest tossing the machine out when it comes to getting help on this site! I've had similar problems and no one responds except to tell me I'm lacking in some way. I have a college degree, I've raised a family (they've even become quite succesful!) but here I'm a zero, a nothing. Just another sheeple being parted from my cash for good of whom-ever.

Kindly stop dropping rubbish all over the boards

If you have a problem, say what it is - not dive into threads that have absolutely NO bearing on a problem with a PC

D-amn, Daithi. I had to look up that one. I don't usually have to, but maybe old age has taken out a bite of the in-mind dictionary. smile.gif No way to format C it, either. laugh.gif

Three rants all within a short time frame. Remember this is NOT Roxio Tech Service. We are users just like you but perhaps with a little more patience. I didn't see anyone insult your intelligence the way you are insulting what you to believe our intent.

If the program doesn't work for you, some of that may be your computer and some of it may be that the program doesn't work the way you think it should.. All of the consumer programs do the same things. The one that is best (for you) is the one that is the most logical to you. Apparently this is not it. Most of the other have a free trial; perhaps you should make your decision on the trials.

To get all Roxio and Sonic programs and registry entries off your computer will take about 10 minutes. The procedure is very clean and can be found in this link.

I posted this in one of your other rants but I thought that I would post it here also just in case you came back.

Steve - he hasn't said WHAT his problem is - so how can he be helped? laugh.gif

Perhaps you should post what problems you are having. And, list your system specs, similar to how I have mine listed in my signature.

I don't think he wants help to run the program; just to get the program off his computer.

I gave him the knowledge base article to do so and suggested something else for him to try. I did not mention Windows Movie Maker which he already has on his computer. I had guessed that he started with that and moved to this program.

I believe that he also had a misconception that this was Roxio Tech Service. As most people know, Roxio people drop in only infrequently and that are clearly marked as Roxio employees.

I'm here just like the other frequent posters, like yourself, who have found the tricks to running the program and want to pass along that knowledge. Some of us post a lot; others post only when they have unique knowledge on how to some things. They may not have a lot of posts but I'm impressed with several who have posted only a few times since they have taught me much. As you know, much of the general "how to"knowledge is listed in the Tips and Tricks area of the EMC 9 forum. The rest of these forums are for people who have questions that may be unique to their situation or who have followed the instructions and still have a problem.

I'm sad when someone insults me and others for our efforts to help. At that point, perhaps it is better that that person moves on.

He made three posts Steve, all at about the same time - not one said what his problem was (and he complained in one about being ignored)
